so now I'm going to go ahead and jump into what is pack laser so pathway there everyone is are flexible online program that's a line to the state standards in the Common Court your students will have access to our online content that will help them practice and Master grade level skills so what that means is your students when they access pass Blazer they're going to have access to all of their grade level content okay they're going to have access to all live their grade level content plus they'll have access to one grade level above and one level grade level below so they'll have access of their grade level content as well as 1 grade level Bob and one grade level below as they're navigating through our program they're going to be there going to be accessing lessons that are Dynamic and interactive and I know as they're moving along. they'll receive continuous learning support which includes specific specific feedback as well as non-repetitive reteaching you're too content areas that your students will have access to it is Ela and math grades K through 6 students who are ntk they will also have access to pathways are so that's good news the only thing to keep in mind is that the lowest grade level your students will have access to it rtk will be kindergarten how do students login login by going to clever.com in LAUSD so you can take a moment to write that down it's clever.com in LAUSD once your students go to this link going to be prompted to login with the active dry or with their clever badge if your students are grades K through two they will log in with their clever badge by clicking on the clever badge login once prompted they will take their clever badge and place it in front webcam to webcam will then scan their clever badge as soon as they began to the students clever badge the students will automatically be directed to the clever dashboard now students are grades 3 through 6 Mabel click on login with active directory then they will go ahead and type in their LAUSD credentials which is their LAUSD email and their password once your students have enter their leusd credentials they will automatically be directed to the Clover dashboard in the cover dashboard everybody there will be different school app Located here what you want your students to do do you want them to locate the red Edgenuity pack laser app it looks exactly like the app that you see right now in front of you except it's all red hey it's going to be all red now this app is generally found towards the bottom of the car dashboard page so you're going to want to have your students scroll down and look for that red top razor app once they locate it they're going to go ahead and click on the red past laser app and as soon as he the red pack was your app is going to automatically sign them in and bring them to their student homepage this is what their student homepage will look like sushi-rama student homepage got a nice simple layout they have the option of choosing between pathways are reading or pack laser Mass the two continent is located on the top left corner of the screen they also have their portfolio here they'll have to hear their hot Bill have access to work that they've completed and the work that they haven't completed and that's they're still working on this is a great place you want to send students to when they're when they want to monitor their their own progress now also located on the student homepage in the bottom right corner is a magnifying glass keep this magnifying glass in mind it's going to be an important piece that working upper back to you a little bit later in our training this magnifying glass here everyone when your when your students click on it they have the opportunity to type in an activity code that you will give them I'll show you where those activity Kosar little bit later on down in the training but your students will go ahead and type in an activity code here and that would bring up a specific lesson that they may need to work on that day and then once your students are done with the program the day they can go ahead and properly log out by going to the top right corner of their screen once your students are in the student homepage they're going to go ahead and choose what content they want to work on once they've chosen the concert they want to work on there to click on that child the content area then they're going to see all the grade-level content that's available to yours so you'll notice here right in the top right corner you're going to see levels and those are the grade levels that your students have access to the grade level that's that's great that has it the gray circle around it that is that lets your students know that that's the current grade level content that they are looking at if your students want to explore content at the grade level below or the grade level above all they have to do is just click on the level and then all that great levels content will appear on their screen I want to take a moment right now to just kind of pause and explain that I know that there's going to be some people on this on this training today are to have access pathways are before right and have used Pak laser with their students on previously because of the school closures leusd leusd decided to get rid of all the Spinners in Diagnostics and instead make all content you know all grade-level content available and give your students the flexibility to also access content that is below grade level as well as above grade level so we got only USB has gotten rid of him and ask to get rid of these Phoenix and diagnostics for this purpose so in the meantime everybody we're going to this is what your students will see this isn't forever your students will have throughout their learning cows and scanners and Diagnostics once the school closures are done but the reason why LAUSD did this was to make it easier for students or teachers and for parents to access the program I'm going to keep it simple I'm during this time okay so I thought I'd share that with all of you right now just so you have a good idea of why you know why why there's all this content available to your students now once your students they click on a continent they click on an area or a lesson that they want to work in the event will be presented with different activities okay you will notice that on the first pile there is a snowflake or a Star located in the top right corner that Snowflake and that's Star right there lets your students know where to begin in our program so so it really is there to guide them and let them know that this is where they need to begin are lessons in the program they are sequential everybody so the reason why you want them to follow the snowflake is so that they follow the law is in order now as your students are working through the different activities for every activity that they beat you will see in the top right corner off the tile checkmark so whenever a student completes an activity a check mark will appear in the top right corner and then the snowflake will move on to the next tile that will let the student know okay this is where I need to I need to go next so again everyone just a friendly reminder please have your students follow the snowflake so as I mentioned earlier everybody this is your students are going to have to all of this content and what you might want to do is you want to I know that we're starting halfway through the year so as suggestion would be to guide your students enter to wipe out exact which which lesson you want them to work on and then we can go ahead and click on that lesson and go from there but just remember everybody disses it's we're in a flexible situation right now so you can go ahead and have your stew click on the folder that you want them to work on that you want them to work on okay they don't need to go one by one one by one they can start they can pick up wherever you'd like them to pick up now in mission to all the content that they have available to them as I mentioned earlier your students can work on specific lessons that you that you you want to give them so in the bottom right corner there is that magnifying glass when your students click on the magnifying glass is going to ask them to type in an activity code you the teacher you will give them that activity code later okay later on in the session today I will show you exactly where you can access those activity codes okay I will show you exactly where you can access those activity codes so once you're so once you once you tell your students with the activity code is there going to go ahead and type it in my search bar after they press enter that exact lesson will pop up on their screen and then they can go ahead and take that active they can go ahead and do that activity everyone we're really just emphasizing the fact that your students they have access to their grade level content and they also have access one grade level above one grade level below but let's say for example that you teach a fourth-grade class take your fourth graders are going to have access to fourth grade fifth grade and third grade but maybe you have two students who need you need a refresher at a second grade level you can assign them one second grade activity to those two students so that they can work on on that specific a still or that specific standard can you guys just at flexibility and just knowing that you have that is it is something to just keep now as your students are working through the program it is extremely important and that you have them exit the activity properly so right now you can see in front of you you have an example of what an activity looks like your students when they're working through an activity and they need to to leave the program or close it or they're done for the day going to guide them to the top left corner in the top left corner there are three lines are going to click the three lines after they click on the three lines window is going to pop up in the beer going to die them to the bottom left in the bottom left corner of the page then you're going quick one on seductively when your students exit in activity properly is saves their spot and so the next time they come into the activity they can pick up where they left off if your do not exit in activity properly unfortunately you guys are going to have to start all over again and that might cause some frustration so again everyone I cannot emphasize this enough please have your students the activity are going to the top left corner of the screen of the activity clicking on the three lines then going to the bottom left corner and they put me on accident also found on the student homepage is there student portfolio this is a great place for students to go where they can monitor the work that they've done in the student portfolio everybody who didn't have access to activities. They've done during today the week and the month cheer when they go into the recent work tab your students to get a list of the activity activities they've done the subject the activity is in the date they last access that activity asked or if it's applicable and the status of that activity if the student has a blue that means that they've completed that activity but if the paper is half blue and half white that means that the. Activity is still in progress or incomplete this is a great way for your it's really hold themselves accountable and to keep track of what they've done and what they haven't done I do want and I do want to tie back to the to the exit activity section that we just talked about and everyone this is crucial here if your students do not exit the activity properly what might end up happening okay is when they go to the student portfolio when they go to the student portfolio they might tell you oh my gosh I did complete that what if they didn't exit the activity properly it will then be marked as incomplete and play everyone's just a friendly reminder again please please please have your students exit out of the activity properly
